On my second day in Croatia, Miloš and I spent a little time in his hometown before catching an afternoon bus down to Zadar. We were both quite tired after staying out so late the night before, so we tried to get some sleep on the bus. However, the route to Zadar was on an incredibly twisty coastal road that we traveled on for a few hours. (Getting comfortable was a bit challenging at times.) The entire coastline was essentially a series of S-curves twisting back and forth and back and forth.
The scenery was just beautiful: steep rocky hills with low growing vegetation, and the sea shimmering with the most incredible shades of blue. The land was spattered with old ancient buildings positioned between groups of newer structures that had white walls and orangey-red roofs.
Here’s a look at what Mother Nature had to offer for our viewing pleasure!
